I just wish we could get her to sleep through the night. We are almost there...she is sleeping from 7pm-4am...just a little longer and I would be one happy mommy :)

Brennley is loving baby food. We started giving her Oatmeal on Christmas morning and slowly we have been introducing the first foods. So far she is loving: Apples, Bananas, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Prunes, Pears. She is a great little eater, except for greens...spits em out every time!!

A NEW love this month is her Jumparoo! She loves to stand in it, not totally sure that she is suppose to jump...but she stills loves it!!!

We are having so much fun as a family and we are so blessed to have a happy healthy little girl, we love her so much.

Our first month home was sooo much fun...I could really get use to this stay at home mom business!!

Grandma had to leave eventually :( but we know she cant stay away for too long. We loved having her here soooo much. She drove me around and took me shopping...it was great!
I had pretty bad cabin fever after being in the hospital for 5 days...I just wanted to be out and about.

This momma was crazy and even had a garage sale the first weekend we were home....I really was feeling so good and the weather was amazing so why not?!? We made enough money to buy a BBQ pit....we have been wanting one for a long time but it never got put in the budget so we just went for it and even had some money left over to do a little shopping too!!

Brennley was even a trooper and went with me and Crystal so we could get our nails and toes done...my feet were so sore...all those late nights walking the halls with our little peanut my feet were hurtin.

The two of us meet up with Crystal and Ty to see a movie...wasnt sure how it was going to work but she slept through almost the whole thing...fed her a bottle and then right back to sleep for the rest, what an angel!

My sister has been more than AMAZING with everything. She has helped me soooo much with Brennley. Wednesday has kinda been her day to have Bren time and we love to have her with us. When Bren was just two weeks old Aunt Crystal practically pushed John and I out of the house and demanded that we go on a "date" sooo we did!!! We had a great time...even though the whole time we just thought and talked about Bren but we knew she was in GREAT hands. We were only gone about 2 hours but when we came home not only was Bren alseep but Crystal had been ironing....what a great babysitter...your HIRED!!! HAHA....Thank you sis for being a super aunt and a wonderful sis...

We love our new neighbors. My good friend Brooke and her family just moved close by us...this is her daughter Bella....she loves Bren...she is going to be a GREAT big sister!!

The last Saturday of the month Johns parents came to visit Grandpa George got to meet Brennley for the first time and shame on me I didnt take any pictures. We had fun having Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Robert here for the day. We went to the open air market in Frisco and soaked up some sunshine, bought a yummy watermelon and enjoyed some shopping on Main Street. We even hit up Main Event and the guys played some pool and shuffle board.

Towards the end of the month my mom came to visit. It was wonderful to have her here. She did some cooking before she left so that I didnt have to...so NICE!!!

The month went by WAY too fast as Im sure all the months will from now on...ALL we can do is soak up every moment!!

We went to our first doctors appointment when Bren was 6 days old. She was gaining weight and already growing.
When we were in the hospital she lost some weight and got down to 5lb 3 oz but at this visit she was 5lb 6oz...she was working so hard to get back to her birth weight :)
I love love love our doctor...he is a family doctor so we all go to him including my sister and her boys. It just so happened that they were seeing the doctor that day too....sooo we had a party in the room...haha!!

First bath was sooo much fun...it was just a sponge bath since her umbilical cord had not fallen off yet. She did sooo great until I started washing her hair, she hated that part!!

Week ONE

Our first week home was packed with visitors....and I loved every minute of it!
My dad had been in Dallas for 2 1/2 weeks and he had to get back....we were so sad to see him go, he was an awesome PopPop, such a BIG help. Just as he was leaving my Mother in Law came to hang with me and Bren...she was the best!! She stocked our pantry, fridge and freezer (I think it is time for her to come back)...she cleaned my house even washed the windows, Im not sure what I would have done without her here!!!!!

One of my great friends from work came over that week too and cooked an amazing dinner for us, TOTALLY what we needed....she brought her sweet little one and we had a great time hanging out with them.

Our first twenty-four hours home was a whirlwind....but, sooo awesome!! We were so happy to bring our peanut home but not before we made a stop at Target. :)
The night was filled with watching the MTV video music awards, lots of feedings, diapers galore and NOT much sleep, by morning I was exhausted. John was suppose to go back to work on Monday but after the night we had I wasnt letting him go ANYWHERE...He called his boss, who was very understanding and let him have the day off. We spent the whole day together, we even did a little shopping at IKEA!!

After what seemed like FOREVER, I was finally induced to have my little Brennley. My doctor had decided the week before that it was probably BEST to induce because she just knew Bren was going to be BIG!
We started the party the night of Sept 8th. John and I packed our bags and headed to the hospital, we were both sooo giddy! Once there we got admitted and got settled into the room we would become THREE! My wonderful nurse got me settled into bed and placed a mediciation on my cervix to get things going down there :) Aunt Crystal arrived with ymmy Subway and I scarfed my 12inch sub knowing that would be my last meal for who knows how long...it was sooo good!!!! Crystal had craft time and we all just visited for a few hours until my nurse gave me my Ambien i decided to try and get a few hours of sleep. And a few is all I got...about 2 hours to be exact. Bright and early my wonderful doctor came into check on me and how i was progressing so far...NO CHANGE!! Also at this point we found out that out little stinker was "sunny side up" meaning she was face up instead of face down making it harder for her to "come out." She said not to worry it was still early and hopefully Bren would rotate on her own! My doctor decided to go a head and start some pitocin to get my contractions stronger....and man that stuff was crazy. My contractions were strong but I wanted to be further dilated before getting my epidural...so I stayed strong for a while :) My awesome LND nurse had me in all sorts of crazy positions to try and get Bren to drop into the birth canal and rotate...I sat in a rocking chair for an hour, I was on my hands and knees in the bed, sitting up in the bed, rocking my hips...it was a busy day. Around lunch time my doctor came back to check on me and see if things were changing...At this time, I had gone from 2 cm to 4!! I was starting to feel somewhat defeated, but I had some great cheerleaders including my sister and my amazing hubs. My doc decided she would break my water and hope that would help me move along. That was the weirdest thing EVER...I felt like I was sitting in a hot tub...there was soooo much...GROSS!! My doctor also decided to get some internal monitors on because the external wasnt really picking up my contractions right and she also put a monitor on Bren so we could get a better idea of her heart rate. Once those monitors were in, the nurse realized my contraction were a way too close and way too strong and Brennley was really tolerating them so the pitocin was turned off :(
I was still having pretty strong contractions on my own without the medication...after a little rest the pitocin was turned back on. It seems like we played the on/off game with the pitocin for the rest of the day. At this point my contractions were super strong and I was getting really tired so I decided it was time for a little relief :) Once i got the epidural things are a little better...but i really dont think my epidural was very strong because I could still feel the stronger contactions and my legs werent numb at all...weird!!
We passed the day with a lot of talking, watching movies (Blue Collar Comedy)...we were all cracking up, and I filled out some of Brens baby book. My best friend Megan drove from houston and made it before Bren was born...i was so glad to have her there...she was an amazing coach too.
My doctor came back around 6 to check on me again...I was still only 4cm dilated. I wanted to CRY!! Why was this taking sooo long?!?! My doctor said based on my lack on progress and Bren not really tolerating thing she recommended the BIG c-section....I wasnt really ready to go with it and asked for some more time...she was cool with that and said she would give me until 9. The next three hours flew by...i did lots of different positions again, had to wear some oxygen, got some lower back massages...my back was killing me! I eventually totally lost it and cried...i felt like i failed...I really hated the idea of a c-section...i just wanted to do it on my own :(
By 9pm my doc was back and there was absolutely NO CHANGE!! She said it was time...and a matter of Bren's health and once she said that, there was no question about...OR here we come!!
After crying some more...I started getting really excited...I was going to meet MY daughter within the hour!!!!
The surgery wasnt as bad as I thought it would be...Brennley Morgan was born at 9:30pm.....The second I heard her crying i started bawling....John was amazing and he was soooo happy and crying too....Ill never forget that feeling! Two of my friends from the NICU were there in the OR to take care of Bren and make sure she was doing okay....she was crying and looked so cute...I just couldnt wait to hold my little baby!!!! Now remember what I said in the begining the reason we induced a week early was for a BIG baby...but she was soooo tiny...only 5lb 13oz and 17 1/2in. She was all wrapped on and I finally got to hold her....she was the most beautiful babies EVER!!!! I was in love!!
They finished up with me and then took me back to recover before i went to a post partum room. During the recovery process i felt great, but i couldnt stop shaking... i hated that!!
I got to hold Bren and feed her and do some skin to skin...then all the family came in to meet her...
I spent 4 night in the hospital and did lots of resting and bonding with my little lady. We only had a few bumps in the road at the hospital....Bren lost about 10oz after 24 hours, so we started giving her formula after she breastfed. Then on the third day she got jaindice and bought herself a tanning bed for a night...that was awful, poor girl was pissed all night...she hated it!
We got to bring our little peanut home on Sunday! That was the coolest thing ever....We had to make a quick stop at target to get all my meds before heading home....and then we were HOME with our BABY!!!!! Brennley...I love you so much, you make me so happy!!!!!

What an awesome day. The ladies in my family sure do know how to throw a party!! My sister and my best friend Megan are the perfect party planners. They seriously thought of EVERYTHING to make the day sooo perfect. We had such a great turn out and everyone was so generous and definitely "showered" me with so many great gifts. Brennley is already one spoiled little girl. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

It was so neat walking around the house to look at everything and read all the sweet notes people wrote.

Freedom Fest

For the 4th we went to Main street square where they had a carnival for the kids, junk food for the "big" kids and a firework show for all at the end of the day. I think it was probably like 110 degrees that day but we ALL were having so much fun that we didnt seem to notice. Tyler had such determination....he waited for over an hour to get his face painted....so sweet.
We ate yummy hamburgers in the street while we waited for the fireworks to start and Tyler kept busy with a way cool light sword until the BIG show started. Cant wait to take Brennley next year!!

This was the BEST experience ever!! We did this at 29 weeks. She was 2lbs 9oz!
She was sooo cute. She definitely put on a show for us. She was so busy in there sucking her thumb, kicking and bouncing all over the place.
It was neat to see her little features and NOW I just cant wait to meet her.

Adventures in Pregnancy

May started off with a BANG...Literally!!
I was driving to work in a rain storm and lost control of my car. I was driving on the freeway and began spinning out of control after hydroplaning. It was by far the scariest thing ever!! All I could think about as my car was spinning out of control is please don't let anything happen to my sweet little baby!! I was trying to rack my brain about how to handle the spinning (turn into it, break, turn out of it) and I just couldn't come up with what to do. I prayed to God that i wouldn't hit anyone else and that no one would hit me! But then how would I stop spinning?? Eventually my car did stop by hitting the cement barrier in the middle of the highway. Several people st oped to help me...I was a shaking, sobbing mess and could barely function to move my car. After calming down enough to think rationally the first thing that popped in my head was oh my gosh, is the baby okay?? With it being a Saturday I kept trying to call my OB, but the answering service that normally functions after hours, was not picking up...ahhhh...my next step was to call up to my work..I am so lucky to work with some amazing nurses!! My co-workers told me to head to labor and delivery so that I could be monitored...I slowly made my way to the hospital and got pushed on and poked for about 7 hours. The thing they were most concerned with...I was having mild contractions, normally no big deal....but after a car accident they were more concerned.
Finally I got sent home with orders to follow up with my regular OB Monday morning. I spent most of Sunday preoccupied trying not to stress out and knew that God would take care of everything and let my uterus relax. Come Monday morning I talked to my OB...she wanted me back in labor and delivery for some more monitoring to make sure my contractions had let up some. My sweet sister and husband came and spent the better part of the morning keeping me company. We waited and waited and waited for another ultrasound. The waiting paid off...It was so great!! We got to see our sweet little baby moving around so much (maybe she was a little stressed out...sorry Brenn), we got confirmation of those GIRL parts, she weighed 11 ounces, and everything else checked out...no more contractions....YEAH!!!!
All I have to say is Im ready to hire a chauffeur...

Some other exciting things going on in our life....
John has been asked back at Winfree next year. We are so blessed to both have professions that are in high demand and hopefully always will be :o) Not only does he have a wonderful job next year, he also got a raise...GO Hubby..bring home that bacon!!

Also this year was my first mothers day (well kind of) John surprised me with a sweet poem and a framed ultrasound picture of Brennley. He is so great with words and he was just a really sweet gesture...thanks babe!

Earlier this week we got a HUGE surprise on our front porch...A crib and changing table...from Nana Best!!! I am so excited...it is starting to feel more real. Still not 100% on how we are going to do the walls but we ended up picking the nursery that has the yellow, brown and red. I think it is going to look so great!!

Im heading to the doctor tomorrow so I should have an update soon with some pics :o)

My body is already changing....the belly is starting to show itself for sure. Im okay with it....I know this is JUST the beginning of much more belly :0)

Im feeling great, just had my doctors appointment on Wednesday and i heard Brennley's heart beating (so comforting), did some blood work and was on my way! I have my next sonogram scheduled for May 18. I cant wait to get a really good look at everything...

In the mean time im feeling totally loved by all the great clothes from my wonderful friends and family. This little girl is developing a pretty good collection of some really cute stuff already. Thank you so much ladies!!

Thanks to Nana we had fun in the church parking lot with a dozen confetti eggs. Ty had so much fun...mainly cracking them on the ground, after each egg he would say "happy Easter" it was too cute

Spring Break Fun

For Johns spring break we just wanted to get away and we knew the perfect place. I use to go as little kid and it was always so much fun. We headed out to Shreveport where Papa, my grandpa, has some land with a cabin and a pond. The drive over was nice and quick, the dogs even crashed in the backseat the whole way.

It was the best place to get some one on one time and just relax.
We even got the chance to read a really great book together called the marriage mirror. It didnt take time to find our way around that town. We found the WalMart and that was pretty much all we needed...i think we went there like 3 times. We cooked all our meals, played games, slept in, watched movies and went for walks, and just loved being together! We hope to take a few more trips before the little one arrives because we know the agenda will for sure change once Brennley is with us....but we cant wait!!

We're having a BABY!!!!!!!

Im 13 weeks on Wednesday and we are finally feeling a little more comfortable and somewhat out of the "miscarriage danger zone"

We are thrilled to start spreading the big news....

John and I went to a fetal maternal specialist in order to check the baby out. Everything looked great but of coarse with me being in the medical field i was ultra nervous and asking a ton of questions. The doctor was able to point out the four chambers of the heart, the brain, the baby's blood flow, the eyes, ears, kidneys, feet, hands and even give us a 95% guess on the gender of the little peanut, the guess was a.....................................................................................................................

At 8 weeks!

The doctor did tell us not to go out and decorate the nursery but he just kept saying its a girl over and over....it was sooo cool!!!!

If it does turn out to be a girl we already have a name picked out.....Brennley Morgan Falco!!! (still not sure about how we want to spell the first name?)

As we start spreading the news and as my belly continues to grow it is going to feel more and more real.

12 week profile!!

Our Duo will become a sweet Trio around September 16th......we cant wait!!

Thanks to my sweet husband it was a GREAT day even though I worked the night before and the night of =(

My adorable hubby surprised me with breakfast in bed....I dont think I have ever had breakfast in bed before?!?! On the menu, pancakes, bacon and oj. Those pancakes, although, not the prettiest pancakes, tasted soooo good. =) Who ever said pancakes had to be a certain shape (haha)!!! The tray was even decked out with flowers and a candle. Soooo yummy.

Thanks Hubby for making the day special. I love you!!

The Adventures of Thursday and Friday......

Over the past few months I have had the amazing privilege to watch my two nephews, Tyler and Parker. There have been times I wanted to pull my hair out but looking back on our time together I wouldn't trade it for anything........

I have learned so much not only about myself but also about mothers in general. I have a new appreciation of the title of MOM.....yall do soooo much! I thought I knew but I had NO idea. Also, another appreciation of the single mom. I cant get over how much my sister does day after day being the only person to fix the meals, comb hair, brush teeth, dress, change diapers, wipe runny noses, calm crying child, playmate, teacher, rule setter, book reader, doctor, laundry maiden...obviously I could go on and on....im sure to her the tasks are endless. I only did it for 8 hours two days a week and I was pooped.

Im sitting here writing this because tomorrow is probably my last day to watch them on a consistent basis. I have had soooo much fun and have formed a life long bond with both of them that I know will only continue to grow. As their Aunt I hope to be this close them the rest of their lives. Thank you Crystal for letting me be such a big part of Tyler and Parkers life, it is an honor to be their aunt!!

2009 makes two years!!

I remember how I felt the day of our wedding as if it was yesterday...I hope i never forget!

I knew without a doubt that I was marrying the man of my dreams...

John, you are the most amazing husband. I love you more everyday. It seems like the more we are challenged with the stronger our marriage gets. You are truly my partner and I cant imagine sharing my days with anyone but you. You know how to cheer me up when I am in a funk, you rub my feet even after YOU have worked 13 hours, i feel safe in your arms, i can tell you anything and know that you wont laugh at me (not unless I want you too), you know all my secrets, i know you love me, and i know you are going to make an amazing father one day not only because you are a wonderful unky but i see it in your eyes anytime we talk about our future family. I love you each and every day and forever!!

John and I were shocked to actually share the countdown together. With him working in the restaurant industry and me working at a hospital that NEVER closes we haven't had New Years together in about 4 years. I left it up to him to plan something.....and he did an awesome job!! We went to a really fun restaurant in Addison called Hollihans. They serve this martini sampler, you get to choose 3 martinis and they are so yummy, I picked Key lime pie, chocolate, and apple...dinner was awesome and we even got dessert to go!

It was so great spending time together, just the two of us! We got home in time to watch the ball drop and play some Wii games.

At dinner hubby and i talked about out goals for 2009....it should be a GREAT year! I feel very optimistic about what this year might have in store for us!

Holiday in Houston

Since I worked Christmas Eve we werent able to head to houston until Chirstmas morning. I headed home from work packed the car, grabbed the Hubby and headed to Crystals house for some Santa time with Ty and Parker. We actually made it to her house before Ty was up so we got to experince his reaction to the Santa spread. My sis did an amazing job....biting into all the cookies and even had carrots out for the raindeer...TOO cute! It was so neat to see his little face light up when he saw ALL the present that Santa brought. It definitely brought back memories from my childhood. Between my parents and grandparents the presents were never ending!!!

Driving to houston went pretty smoothly...Crystal and the boys in the lead and john and i close behind. We headed straight to Papa's house and met up with some of my cousins, aunts, uncles, my mom and papa. We did the Christmas thing with them and ate yummy prime rib, mashed potatoes, and green bean bundles!! Oh, and pies...how could i forget the pies.....my mom is always on top of that making sure that everyone has the pie they want even if that means having 15 pies....so fun!!

Later that night we headed to Johns mom and step dads house. As we pulled up this is what we saw......

Wow....talk about getting in the Christmas spirit....how could you not!!

I always feel so welcome at their house, they always have our favorite drinks waiting in the fridge and the guest room all made up for us. Its always so chill there...we have so much fun just hanging out and catching up!

The next day we headed over to Johns sister's house and had Christmas with them. This was our first time at her new house, it was so pretty! Our neices got Rock Band for Christmas, Hubby was in heaven!! He spend the good part of the time jammin with the girls. I have to say he had some mad skills =) We opened our presents from his parents. WE GOT A WII!!!! John and I are so excited....he was like a little kid on Christmas morning.

The next day we spent some more time with my family and then off to have Christmas with my dad, brother and his family. We dont get to see my brother and his family very often so it was great to catch up with them too....so much catching I didnt take but one picture and it didnt even turn out good!!

Sunday was my moms birthday so we had lunch with all the family to celebrate. As always it was great just sitting around visiting with everyone. After lunch it was time to head home. =(

It was a jam packed couple of days but soooo much fun....I wouldnt have had it ANY other way!

John wanted to get our pictures taken for a Christmas card this year.

I was soooo apprehensive, I think because I am so critcal of myself and to see a picture of myself makes it even worse. I was so surprised because we had the hardest time choosing the pictures we liked, for the most part they all turned out soooo good. As soon as we get them back ill be sending out those Christmas cards!

It took a lot of convincing but he finally did it....sooo here are a couple of our favs.....

John and I ventured to the State Fair of Texas on Friday. He got two free tickets from work and we just couldnt pass it up!
We has so much fun, of course with my camera missing you will just have to take my word for it....
Our mission, well really Johns mission, was to try the Chicken Fried Bacon. We couldnt find the stand that was selling it at first but after walking the entire fair ground we finally saw the long long line and dozens of men salivating, we knew that had to be the place! After John got his hands on his personal serving I was lucky enought to get a tiny sample. Wow that stuff was rich....like a heart attack waiting to happen, but so good =)
We saw Jessica Simpson sing a couple of songs (thanks hubby) we even saw Tony Romo in the stands. Soon it was time for dessert...how is a girl to choose fried oreos, fried marshmellows, good ole fashion funnel cake, fried coke, fried snickers bar....really the options were endless. I finally settled on fried oreos...Im with Crystal AMAZING. Whoever thought an oreo could get any better, fried with powdered sugar! After we stuffed our faces we played some of the carni games...no big winnings but we had a blast. It was Johns first time at the fair and Im pretty sure we will be making a trip every year!!

Its the perfect place for him because the water is only about 12 inches deep so he can crawl on his tummy and his head is still above the water.

Crystal and Tyler's new house has this great pond with ducks. I think these ducks can smell the bread from a mile away. Most of the time they are on the opposite side of the pond and they sprint towards anything coming in their direction......its pretty funny.

These duck were definately not afraid of a toddler. They were so close...it was kinda scary.

Crystal, John, Tyler and I had an awesome 4th of July. The city of Frisco had a festival with GREAT food for the adults and fun activities for Tyler. The day started of like it was going to rain, we only saw some drizzle but it ended in this great rainbow! Tyler couldn't devour this cupcake fast enough....

The Frisco Fire department was there with a couple fire engines for the kiddos to climb in and check out. They even had this robot fire dog that someone was controlling and talking to all the kids as they came up to it and responding to their questions...it was so funny. John and I couldn't stop laughing at all the kids reactions. Even Tyler was shocked at how the dog was talking =)

Tyler got to site inside a fire truck and an ambulance. He wanted all of us to get in there with him but space was limited =)

Tyler loved the view from up here. Uncky on the other hand really loved the sucker drool in the hair! What a good sport!

Im not sure who got more of a workout mommy or tyler.

Birthday Bash

When I realized I was turning 26 this year, I was not too excited about my fast approaching birthday but leave it to my BEST friend Megan to make it a totally BLAST.

John and I headed to Austin on Friday to meet up with Megan and Bobby for a night on the town. We meet up with some of Megan's friends and hade yummy Mexicans martinis before heading to 6th street.

We spent the rest of the night at an awesome piano bar!

We were totally getting in to it =)

On Saturday we floated the river all day. Nothing like a yummy drink, cold water, the hot sun, and GREAT company to make the day complete =)

Our Toys-r-us is so much fun they even have a big play area complete with a slide. Tyler is getting so brave that he will climb to the top with little assistance and slide down the slide. What a big boy!!

Crystal and I took Tyler to see Sesame Street Live. Tyler was so adorable. He got somewhat distracted at times but you could see his eyes light up when the different characters came on stage. By the end of the night he was even saying elmo. I had so much fun...thanks for letting me tag along sis.

A Winter Wonderland in March?

Much to our surprise we got two snow days this past week. I thought I was living in Idaho or something!

Crystal and I were shopping and came outside to find our cars covered in snow and the snow still coming down...totally crazy. Not much stuck to the ground but it was still fun

Then a couple days later we had close to 9 inches of snow....they even canceled school

John turned the BIG 28 on March 5th. We decided to take a trip down to Houston to spend time with his family.

Saturday night his family took us to Johns favorite mexican food place. I can never get enough chips and queso. The night would not be complete without a sumbrero and some whip cream. What a great sport!!

We had so much fun spending time with Johns fam...we love you guys!!

The most shocking gift of the night: 2 tickets to the NY Yankees vs Houston Astros...
I totally cant wait to go!!!!

On Sunday we met up with my mom, randy, papa, and marylou for a birthday lunch. It was so great to see everyone especially papa to celebrate his birthday. Papa and John shared birthdays wishes as they blew out the candles of their shared birthday cake....it was so cute =

Wednesday on Johns actual b-day we meet up with Crystal and Ty for a birthday lunch. Tyler is so in love with uncle john. They are so cute together!!

That night I gave John his present from me. I was going to keep it simple but I couldnt help myself...I ended up getting him 28 of his most favorite things everything from all his fav candy to pink floyd t-shirts...he was so surprised. But his favorite gift will take place in May. I bought him two tickets to see Roger Waters?!?!? All I know is he is/was a band member of Pink Floyd....so it should be fun

Christmas Cheer!!

Christmas was so great this year. I was so wrapped up in everything I did not take a single picture =(
We were blessed with getting to see my dad and johns parents this holiday
My Dad arrived Christmas Eve day and we were able to finish some last minute shopping before the stores closed early. We met up with Crystal and Ty for Christmas Eve dinner at McDonalds, Tyler was way sad when the playroom was already closed.
The next day Crystal served an awesome brunch with everything you could think of. The mimosas were my favorite. Then the unwrapping marathon began. Tyler was totally into it in the begining but towards the end he was just ready to play with all of his new toys. I still have about 5 things at my house to be opened!! Later that day Johns parents arrived with the best gift EVER, A 42 inch plasma TV. I could barely convince John to get off the couch for dinner.
Everyone was at my house for tacos and enchiladas...yummy!
My new years resolution is to take more pictures....we just got a new lap-top so I am hoping that will help.

The Shower

A little over a month ago we attended Britni and Chris's "couples" shower. It was decorated in a "country" style and there were even "redneck" games to play. The hostess served some awesome Mexican food with homemade desserts. The bride and groom were extremely blessed with many gifts and a great stash of cash for their honeymoon! John and I had a great time playing horseshoes with a toilet seat and playing basketball with a Nerf ball and a wicker basket. Good times were had by all!

The Wedding

Last weekend John and I attended the beautiful wedding of Britni and Chris. Britni couldn't have been a more perfect bride. She looked amazing and definitely knows how to throw a great party. John and I had the honor of preparing and giving a toast to the newly married couple. I of course totally hate to speak in public let alone a room full of people I hardly know but we rehearsed it a number of times and the delivery was flawless...yeah go us!!

We partied and danced the night away even into the wee hours of the morning. The plan was to stay and see Britni and Chris off to the airport at 3:30am but everyone was fading fast so we let the bride get her beauty rest.

Fun Times in Houston!!

Britni, my best friends from nursing school got married last weekend so the past month I have been back and forth to Houston attending showers and throwing the bachelorette and bachelor party.
Our night out on the town consisted of eating yummy mexican food and going to a dueling piano bar. If you have never been to one before it is basically a band on a stage playing different song that people request. It gets kinda crazy but tons of fun. We were even able to get Britin and Chris on stage!! Thanks to the hospitality of Megan and Bobby we all crashed at their beautiful new home!

Tyler's Birthday Present

Well we had the brilliant idea of getting Ty his first car. Sooo, off to WalMart we went at 1am the night before the big party (such the procrastinators). Well, the first car we purchased was missing 3 wheels. I dont think Tyler could have gotten far with that so back to WalMart we went. Of coarse I had bought the one and only car they had. Three WalMarts later....we had a complete car. Too exhusted to put it together that night john and i woke up early the next moring to start. What we thought would be an easy 20 minute job turned out to be a 2 hour ordeal. Needless to say it was worth it to see Tyler's face.
